When you head to the northern delights of Sapa, the superb Pao’s Sapa Leisure hotel has to be on your wish-list! It’s not the cheapest in town, that’s for sure, but if you’re looking for a classy, great value option, this could tick all your boxes!
We thought we’d treat ourselves to a few days of style and class as part of a honeymoon adventure up north, and weren’t disappointed. As soon as you walk into the foyer and are greeted by the charming staff wearing their traditional dress with huge smiles, you know this is going to be a good stay.
As for the view from the hotel room, well…

We were also nicely surprised with a huge, tasty cake (courtesy of some thoughtful staff!) upon returning to our room on our first day. That cake didn’t last too long, have to confess! And I swear it wasn’t just me who absolutely devoured it!
The room we took was great, very spacious, with a garden view overlooking the nearby valley. And also included one of our favourite ever beds in all of Vietnam…the sheer size and comfort of the thing, wow! In this room we really were living the dream! We paid around £90 per night, you might be able to get a similar deal, or better. In my opinion, if you’re looking for something decent in Sapa, this is it.
Another win for this hotel was a great breakfast, with stunning balcony views out over the valley and up towards Fansipan mountain. Absolutely breathtaking stuff, every morning…

As mentioned, Pao’s Sapa hotel is located just outside the city center. You can walk into the center, but it will take a good 30 minutes. The hotel does have shuttle buses though, which depart every 30 minutes or so, so just grab one of those. Or hire one of the motorbikes for rent, and in addition to hitting the town, go and explore local villages, such as Cat Cat or Lao Cai.
The map below pinpoints the exact location of the hotel…in summary, this place is RECOMMENDED!
