What Saigon is really like on the back of a motorbike…

You’ve probably already seen the photos of the motorbike-packed streets of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) or Hanoi, and probably already asked yourself just how the f*ck do they survive out there on those roads???

It’s an excellent observation, of course, and even more pertinent when you’re trying to navigate through the chaos of rush-hour traffic, whether as a pedestrian or driver.

So, yes, I got on the back of a motorbike (driven by a beautiful Vietnamese lady – the misses (that’s her amazing hair in the third video!)), and went for a spin, just to give you a taste of what to expect. And yep, with sweaty palms and clenched teeth, I sometimes hung on for dear life – but still managed to grab some GoPro/phone footage! Check out the videos below – and watch out for the extra special moment we merge into oncoming traffic as take a left turn!!!
